Coast Guard Arrests 2 with Marijuana in Bhola Joint Operation

The Bangladesh Coast Guard and local police arrested two suspected drug dealers with a cache of marijuana during a joint operation in Bhola Sadar early Monday.

The arrestees have been identified as Md. Monir Hossain (50) and Md. Shahid Sikder (45), both residents of Ward No. 6, Chargazi Adarshgram under Velumia Union.

Lieutenant Md. Abul Kashem, Media Officer of Coast Guard South Zone, confirmed the arrests. Acting on a tip-off, a combined team from Coast Guard Base Bhola and the local police conducted the raid around 4:00 AM in the Chargazi Adarshgram area.

During the drive, security forces recovered 1 kg of marijuana, estimated to have a market value of approximately 40,000 BDT. Both the seized narcotics and the suspects have been handed over to Bhola Sadar Police Station for further legal proceedings.
