Chittagong Port, the country’s primary maritime gateway, celebrated its 139th "Port Day" with various programs on Sunday.
The festivities began at 12:01 AM on April 25, when all vessels stationed at the port sounded their whistles simultaneously for one minute. To mark the occasion, Port Chairman Rear Admiral SM Moniruzzaman hoisted the national flag at the port building, while Commodore Ahmed Amin Abdullah, Member (Harbor and Marine), hoisted the port’s official flag.
