Inland river ports in 16 regions—Rangpur, Pabna, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Kushtia, Jashore, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Cumilla, Noakhali, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, and Sylhet—have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal No. 1.

The weather alert, valid from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, notes that strong south or southeasterly winds of 45 to 60 kmph could affect river transport. Commuters and riverine vessel operators are advised to remain vigilant and navigate with caution during this period.
