Severe Weather Warning The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall across the Khulna Barishal and Chattogram divisions. Driven by an active monsoon over southern Bangladesh the 24-hour alert begins Friday morning. Residents in these areas are advised to remain cautious.

Border Infiltration Foiled Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) successfully intercepted an attempt by India’s Border Security Force (BSF) to push eight unidentified individuals into Bangladesh early Friday morning. The incident occurred at the Daulatpur border in Kushtia. A BGB patrol team quickly secured the border line forcing the group to return across the river to the Indian side and securing the area against illegal infiltration.

Tragic Gas Explosion in Dhaka A fatal gas line leak in Dhaka’s Bhatara area caused a severe explosion, resulting in the deaths of a 24-year-old man and his 8-year-old niece. The victims succumbed to extensive burn injuries while undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery. A third family member remains in critical condition in the ICU.
