For over a year, fans have speculated endlessly about Tom Holland and Zendaya’s engagement and rumored secret wedding. Now, Holland himself has finally put the rumors to rest.
In a recent interview with the British magazine Esquire UK, Holland addressed the viral, AI-generated photos of their alleged wedding. His response practically confirmed that the beloved Hollywood couple has officially tied the knot
When asked if he had to console family members who thought they were excluded from the wedding after the AI photos leaked, Holland replied: “I had to convince my grandmother. But no one else in the family. Because they were all there.”
He quickly added, “That's all you'll get on that.”
This single quote has taken social media by storm, marking the first time either star has publicly acknowledged the marriage.
Rumors of their engagement first surfaced in January 2025, when Zendaya was spotted wearing a diamond ring at the Golden Globe Awards. In March of this year, Zendaya's longtime stylist, Law Roach, fueled the fire by stating on a red carpet, "The wedding has already happened. You missed it." At the time, many fans assumed he was joking.
When AI-generated "wedding photos" later circulated online, Zendaya quickly dismissed them as fake, even mocking the images during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
However, Holland's candid new interview has brought their personal lives back into the spotlight. The Spider-Man star spoke openly and warmly about his deep connection with Zendaya.
"Our business can present very stressful situations, and it's really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time," he shared. Continuing with high praise for his partner, he added: "For me, I found my person. She's my best friend, and I'm the happiest I ever have been when I'm with her. I also have never felt so supported and safe."
Tom Holland and Zendaya first met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016. After years of insisting they were "just friends," their romance was finally confirmed to the public in 2021.
Fans can soon catch the newlywed couple sharing the screen again. Both stars will appear in Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated adaptation of The Odyssey, releasing this July. This will be followed closely by the premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, where Holland will reprise his iconic superhero role and Zendaya returns as MJ. Alongside the exciting new chapter in their personal lives, the superstar couple is gearing up for their busiest professional season yet.
