Eight months after the brutal murder of prominent grocery businessman Narayan Chandra Pal, his family and local merchants are still waiting for answers.

At a press conference on Friday morning, Narayan’s wife, Lipi Rani Pal, tearfully demanded justice and the immediate arrest of her husband's killers. The event, organized by the Mohanganj Bazar Banik Samiti (Merchants’ Association), was held at their temporary office and attended by the victim's family, association leaders, and local journalists.

On the night of October 8, 2025, Narayan Chandra Pal was killed at his shop, "Narayan Store," located at the Bashundhara intersection in Mohanganj. Despite the passing of eight months, police have yet to uncover the motive or identify the culprits.

Speaking to reporters, Lipi Rani stated that while the case file has been transferred to police headquarters, the lack of visible progress has left the family in deep distress. She publicly appealed to law enforcement to expedite the investigation, solve the mystery, and ensure the perpetrators face strict punishment.

Prominent local business leaders echoed the family's demands for a swift resolution. Speakers at the event included Banik Samiti President Md. Masud Mia, Vice President Haji Dudu Mia, Golam Rabbani, Babu Bimal Chandra Pal, Habibur Rahman Doha, Deepak Banik, and Shyamal Molla.
