Prime Minister Tarique Rahman inaugurated the Ulshi Canal excavation program in Sharsha Upazila on Monday. The Prime Minister arrived at the site around 12:00 PM to formally launch the project, aimed at improving local irrigation and drainage.

Earlier, the Prime Minister departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 9:50 AM, landing at Jessore Airport at 10:15 AM.

According to the official itinerary, the Prime Minister will address a rally in Sharsha following the inauguration. Later in the afternoon, after a brief stay at the Jashore Circuit House, he is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the Jessore Medical College Hospital. His visit will conclude with a public address at the Jashore Central Eidgah Maidan.

The Prime Minister is expected to return to the capital this evening. This marks his first visit to the district since the 13th National Parliament election and his second visit to the region within the last three months.
