Brazil continued their recovery at the FIFA World Cup with a convincing 3-0 victory over Haiti, moving to the top of their group on goal difference.
After opening their campaign with a draw against Morocco, Carlo Ancelotti's side secured their first win of the tournament thanks to a brace from Matheus Cunha and a goal from Vinicius Junior.
Brazil thought they had taken an early lead in the 12th minute when Raphinha found the net, but the goal was ruled out for offside.
The breakthrough came in the 23rd minute. Vinicius Junior drove into the Haitian penalty area from the right and forced a save from goalkeeper Johnny Placid. Cunha reacted quickest to the rebound and calmly scored.
Cunha doubled Brazil's lead in the 36th minute after a well-worked move. Vinicius carried the ball forward from midfield before threading a pass to Cunha, who finished with a left-footed strike.
Vinicius then added Brazil's third goal in first-half stoppage time, finishing clinically after breaking through Haiti's defence.
Brazil dominated the opening half but looked less organized after the break. Haiti improved and created several attacking opportunities but could not find a way past the Brazilian defence.
Substitute Endrick appeared to score in the 78th minute, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
With no further goals, Brazil sealed a comfortable 3-0 victory.
The result leaves Brazil and Morocco level on four points after two matches. However, Brazil lead the group with a superior goal difference of +3, while Morocco have a goal difference of +1.
Scotland, who defeated Haiti in their opening match, are third with three points. Brazil will face Scotland in their final group-stage fixture.
