Qatar Charity (QC) has successfully concluded its Quran Literacy Project in Bangladesh, honoring 57 sponsored children from the Markaz Muhammad bin Ajaj Al-Kubaisi Center and the Sakhaa Center for completing their Quranic education.
The day-long closing ceremony took place at the Markaz Muhammad bin Ajaj Al-Kubaisi Center, bringing together students, teachers, staff, and representatives from Qatar Charity to celebrate the students' academic and spiritual milestone. The program aimed to enhance the children's skills in reading, reciting, memorizing, and understanding the Holy Quran.
The event featured a series of educational, religious, and cultural activities. Students showcased their skills through Quranic recitations and Naat performances, alongside an interactive question-and-answer session designed to highlight their knowledge.
All 57 graduates received prizes in recognition of their successful completion of the course. Two students, Ratul Islam and Rita Akhter, were honored with special awards as the "Best Students" for their exceptional dedication and performance.
Expressing his gratitude, Ratul Islam said, "I am very happy to have successfully completed this one-year Quranic education program. I am grateful to our teachers and Qatar Charity for their guidance and support. Receiving the Best Student award is a great encouragement for me."
Sabreen AlQaisi, Child Protection Specialist at the Bangladesh Office and Project Supervisor, commended the students' hard work and progress over the past year. She highlighted that fostering a supportive learning environment was crucial in helping the children build confidence and excel.
The initiative falls under QC’s broader Al-Furqan Quranic Literacy Program, which focuses on providing Quranic education while promoting the moral, psychological, and social development of children from vulnerable and marginalized communities.
The celebrations concluded with students participating in various sports activities and games at the center, marking the end of the program in a festive atmosphere.
