Faridpur Road Crash Leaves UP Secretary Dead

A Union Parishad (UP) secretary was killed in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and his motorcycle on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway in Faridpur's Karimpur area on Monday morning (June 22).

The deceased, Md. Ribul Hossain, was a resident of Amgachiadangi village in Boalmari Upazila. He served as the secretary of the Ishangopalpur Union Parishad in Faridpur Sadar Upazila.

According to eyewitnesses, the crash occurred shortly after 11:00 AM while Hossain was riding his motorcycle to work. Locals rescued the critically injured official and rushed him to Faridpur Medical College Hospital, where the on-duty physician declared him dead upon arrival.

Hossain’s untimely death has left his family and Union Parishad colleagues in deep mourning.
