The Mozammel Haque Foundation distributed cash assistance on Monday (June 22) morning to five families who lost their homes to a devastating fire in Shilkup Union, Banshkhali Upazila.

Foundation representatives handed over the funds to the affected families in the Paschim Mankichar area to help mitigate their immediate financial distress.

The fire broke out earlier on Friday (June 19) morning at a residence in the Mohir Pukurpar area (Ward No. 2, Paschim Mankichar), completely burning down five houses and leaving the families destitute.

Foundation Advisor Mohammad Osman Gani, General Secretary Obaidur Rahman Newaz, and executive members Ruknul Islam Arafat and Jasim Uddin attended the distribution event.

"We consider it our humanitarian duty to stand by these fire victims," said Advisor Mohammad Osman Gani. "We urge the wealthy members of our society to also come forward and support these helpless families."
