


Prime Minister Tarique Rahman left for Dalian, China, on a special Biman Bangladesh flight from Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 5:00 p.m. local time on Monday (June 22), concluding a two-day official visit to Malaysia.
Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon confirmed the Prime Minister will spend two days in Dalian to attend the World Economic Forum's annual meeting. Afterward, he will travel to Beijing to commence the main segment of his official state visit.
Malaysian Minister of Religious Affairs Zulkifli Hasan and his wife saw the Prime Minister off at the Bunga Raya VIP Complex. Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia Manjurul Karim and Deputy High Commissioner Shahanara Monika were also in attendance.
The Prime Minister originally arrived in Malaysia on Sunday (June 21). This marked his first foreign tour since taking office, following the formation of his government with an absolute majority in the 11th National Parliament elections on February 17.
During the Malaysian leg of the trip, the two nations' Prime Ministers held extensive dialogues. The itinerary included an exclusive one-on-one meeting, followed by restricted-level talks addressing key bilateral issues, and concluded with broader discussions involving full delegations from both countries.
