


Police have arrested one suspect in connection with a theft at a temple in Daganbhuyan Upazila of Feni District, and recovered part of the stolen property.
The theft occurred around 1:00 am on March 4 at a Radha–Krishna temple located in the Aziz Fazilpur area of Ramnagar Union. The temple belongs to the family of Dulal Chandra Nath, also known locally as Dulal Bhakta.
Following the incident, the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council urged authorities to conduct a swift investigation and ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
According to police, a case was filed by Dulal Chandra Nath at Daganbhuyan Police Station. The case was registered on March 5 under Sections 457 and 380 of the Penal Code.
During a press briefing on Friday noon, Officer-in-Charge Faizul Azim Noman said police conducted several raids after the case was filed and arrested Md. Rafiq Ullah (33), also known as Mintu, from the Aziz Fazilpur area. He is the son of the late Kabir Ahmed.
Police said some stolen items were recovered based on information provided by the arrested suspect. The recovered goods were presented to journalists during the briefing.
Law enforcement officials added that operations are continuing to recover the remaining stolen items and identify others involved in the incident.
Police also said investigations are ongoing regarding another case involving theft and vandalism at a nearby temple, and those responsible will be arrested soon.
