Coast Guard Arrests Two for Possession of Marijuana in Bhola

The Bangladesh Coast Guard arrested two individuals in separate raids across Bhola on Wednesday night for the possession of marijuana.

In the first operation at approximately 8:00 pm, a team from Coast Guard Base Bhola raided the Shantirhat Auto Brickfield area. They arrested Md. Soleman Badsha (28), a resident of Ward 05, Baro Char Samaiya, with 1 kg of marijuana.

Later, at 9:00 pm, a second raid in the Sadurchar area led to the arrest of Md. Hashem (44), a resident of Ward 09, Sadur Char. He was found with 500 grams of marijuana.

Lt. BN Md. Abul Kashem, Media Officer of the Coast Guard South Zone, confirmed that the seized items and the two individuals were handed over to Bhola Sadar Police Station for legal proceedings.
