Israel and the United States’ surprise attack on Iran entered its seventh day on Saturday (March 7). The two countries have continued large-scale joint strikes across Iran. US President Donald Trump said the war would continue until Iran “fully surrenders.”
Earlier, Trump claimed that Iran’s air defence system, air force, navy and senior leadership had been largely destroyed.
Amid this tense situation, another earthquake struck the country.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), a 4.1 magnitude earthquake hit 74 kilometres west of Bandar Abbas on Saturday morning. The quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
Earlier last Tuesday, a 4.3 magnitude earthquake struck southern Iran.
