


The whole world is now looking at our skilled youth. And the professional institutes of the National University can play an important role in creating those skilled and trained human resources. That is why we have taken special initiatives for the development of these institutions.
On Saturday (October 18), the National University's affiliated Crown Institute of Business and Technology (CIBT) organized a seminar titled "Importance of Professional Courses in Economic Development" and the 2024-2025 academic year's freshman program.
Speaking as the chief guest, National University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Amanullah said this.
Speaking as the chief guest, National University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Amanullah said, 70 percent of the country's higher education is conducted through the National University. The physical infrastructure of our affiliated colleges is very extensive and huge. The National University is spread all over Bangladesh. Out of these, more than 150,000 students study in professional institutes. They are also equally important to us. We will hold a separate convention with them. We have to create skilled freelancers from among them, they will also participate in events like AI Olympiad. Already, various organizations from the world including UNICEF and A2I have started working with the National University, and many more have expressed interest in working.
He said, since taking charge, we have embarked on a comprehensive reform of the National University. Especially, we have already completed reforms in many areas, including the formulation of a modern syllabus. Many more important reforms are underway. We have announced the results of the examination within two months - which is unprecedented in the history of the university. By using advanced technology, we are planning to publish the results within a month. We are going to establish the country's largest forensic lab at the National University, where individuals and organizations from home and abroad will come to take our services.
The event was presided over by CIBT President Professor Dr. Jamal Uddin Ahmed at the DSE Auditorium in Khilkhet, capital. Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Mohammad Azad Challal and Director of the Institute of Forensic Science and Cyber Security of the National University Professor Dr. Mohammad Bin Kashem spoke as special guests. CIBT founding principal Md. Mamunur Rashid delivered the welcome speech. Additional Controller of Examinations of the National University Md. Zaker Hossain delivered speeches among others.
A minute of silence was observed at the event to pay tribute to CIBT student Shaheed Akram Khan Rabbi, who was killed in the July coup.
