Father and son arrested in Nalchiti

The police have arrested two leaders of the Krishak League and Jubo League, a father and son, in Nalchiti, Jhalakathi during Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2.

They were arrested from their homes in Godanda village of Subidpur union of the upazila on Monday (December 22) early morning.

The arrested are Md. Razzak Sardar, former joint general secretary of the Krishak League of Subidpur union, and his son Md. Russell Sardar, general secretary of the Jubo League of ward no. 3 of the same union.

Nalchiti police station OC Ariful Alam confirmed this and said that the two were arrested in a case filed by Jhalakathi Sadar police station. They were sent to court on Monday.
