On Sunday (December 14), at 10 am, the upazila administration led by UNO Md. Jobair Habib laid wreaths at the closed ground in the Ferighat area of Nalchiti town. Later, at 11 am, a discussion meeting was held in the Upazila Parishad meeting room.
Nalchiti Upazila Executive Officer Md. Jobair Habib chaired the meeting and Upazila Rural Development Officer Obaidul Islam addressed the meeting, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Rizvi Ahmed Sabuj, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Shiuli Parvin, Inspector (Investigation) of Nalchiti Police Station Md. Ashraf Ali, Upazila BNP General Secretary Selim Gazi, Former President of Kulkathi Union BNP, Former Senior Vice President of Nalchiti Upazila BNP, Former Unopposed Successful Chairman of Kulkathi Union Council and Hero Freedom Fighter Alhaj Md. Rafiqul Islam Molla, Md. Golam Mostafa, Vice President of Nalchiti Press Club Md. Shahadat Hossain Monu, Upazila Social Service Officer Asaduzzaman Palash, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Anwarul Azim, Joint Secretary of Nalchiti Upazila Branch of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh Maniruzzaman, President of Islami Andolon Bangladesh Maulana Md. Shahjalal Hossain and others.
At the end of the discussion meeting, prayers were offered for the repose of the souls of the martyred intellectuals.
