Shafiqur Rahman has been re-elected as the Ameer (chief) of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami for the 2026–2028 term, securing his third consecutive tenure as the party's top leader.

The results of the internal leadership election were announced by Chief Election Commissioner Maulana ATM Masum. The voting process, which involved party members (known as Rukon) casting secret ballots nationwide, took place between October 9 and October 25.

Shafiqur was confirmed to have received the highest number of votes, ensuring his continued leadership of the party.
