BNP Senior Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed announced that the party is actively considering forming a broader political alliance ahead of the next national election. This initiative aims to uphold the spirit of national unity and involves parties already engaged in simultaneous movements as well as others, to "overcome the electoral hurdle."
Ahmed made the remarks after paying homage to party founder Ziaur Rahman, marking the 47th founding anniversary of Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, the party's youth wing.
He also addressed meetings with potential candidates at the party's Gulshan office, explaining that they are consulting with qualified aspirants across constituencies where the party often has multiple contenders. These meetings are intended to ensure unity both within the party and across the nation, which he emphasized is BNP's greatest strength.
Furthermore, the BNP leader stated that the party is working to incorporate the aspirations of the country's youth into its future plans, aiming to build a "new Bangladesh" driven by the energy, creativity, employment, technology, and talent of the young generation. He concluded by expressing hope for a youth-led future for the nation.
