The Faridpur district Jubo Dal president Md. Rajib Hossain and general secretary Md. Jahangir Hossain have been issued show-cause notices for alleged negligence in organizational duties, leading to disorder within the party.
The notice, signed by Minhajul Islam Bhuiyan, assistant office secretary of the Jubo Dal central executive committee, was issued on Monday (October 20) night.
They have been asked to explain within 24 hours to the central committee president Abdul Monayem Munna and general secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam Noyon why organizational action should not be taken against them for activities “disruptive to party discipline.”
In response, Jahangir Hossain said the district unit had done nothing to warrant such a notice. “If anyone commits wrongdoing using the party’s name, the district Jubo Dal will not take responsibility,” he added.
The move comes a day after local Jubo Dal activists allegedly attacked the motorcade of former MP A.K. Azad at Parmanandapur Bazar in Krishnanagar Union of Faridpur Sadar upazila on Sunday (October 19), damaging vehicles belonging to both Azad and the Detective Branch (DB) police.
