The Sadullapur unit of BNP in Gaibandha's Naldanga Union organized a leaflet distribution campaign on Wednesday to raise public awareness about BNP’s 31-point state reform agenda announced by acting chairman Tareque Rahman.
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Moynul Hasan Sadik, president of the district BNP and a nomination aspirant for Gaibandha-3, the program was led by Advocate Abdus Salam, member secretary of Sadullapur BNP. Over a hundred leaders and activists from BNP and its affiliated organizations participated in distributing leaflets across Patillakura Bazar and surrounding markets and villages.
Following the distribution, a rally was held in Patillakura Bazar, presided over by local BNP president Rezaunnabi Lebu. Keynote speaker Adv. Abdus Salam emphasized the importance of the 31-point agenda and urged voters to support the "sheaf of paddy" symbol in the upcoming 13th national election.
He claimed that under the previous authoritarian regime of the Awami League, voters were deprived of their right to choose candidates for 17 years. He added that the fall of that regime marked the restoration of democracy and voting rights in the country.
Salam assured that a BNP-led government would govern with public mandate and national interest, calling BNP “a true party of the people.”
Among others present were Mojammel Haque Milon, Alamgir Hossain, Mosharaf Hossain, Tajrul Islam Tajul, Habijar Rahman, and Lecturer Hamidul Haque.
