Diplomatic activity at the BNP Chairman’s Gulshan office surged on Tuesday as representatives from Denmark and Sweden met with Tarique Rahman to discuss the country’s political roadmap.
The Chairman arrived at his office before 11:00 am, shortly before the European delegations joined him for the closed-door session. Sources indicate the talks focused on strengthening bilateral ties and the BNP’s governance vision should the party win the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections.
This follows a massive diplomatic outreach on Monday (January 19), where Tarique Rahman hosted ambassadors and high commissioners from 11 countries in a single day. Those meetings included the newly appointed US Ambassador Brent Christensen, Canadian High Commissioner Ajit Singh, and an EU delegation led by Ambassador Michael Miller.
Key topics across these high-level discussions have included the BNP’s "31-point" state reform outline, diplomatic policy, the current electoral environment, and the Rohingya crisis. Envoys have consistently emphasized the importance of a peaceful and inclusive democratic transition for Bangladesh.
