Like every year, 'Pitha Festival-2025' was held in a joyful atmosphere organized by the Upazila Women's Affairs Officer's Office in Sadullapur, Gaibandha.
Local administration officials, public representatives, women entrepreneurs, and people from different walks of life participated in the festival held at the Upazila Parishad conference room on Tuesday (November 25).
Various types of winter decorated pitha made by women entrepreneurs, including Bhapa, Chechkata, Puli, Narkili, Sandesh, and other traditional pithas of rural Bengal, were displayed.
And the guests present tasted these various types of Bahari pitha.
The guests present at the event said that the pitha festival is not only a joyous festival, but also creates an opportunity for women to display their handmade products, create entrepreneurs, and become economically self-reliant. Such events play an important role in preserving rural culture and the traditions of Bengal.
