


Members of the 16 Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Nitpur BOP seized a motorcycle loaded with Indian narcotics during an early morning raid in Porsha on Friday.
Acting on a secret tip-off, a patrol team led by Havildar Nazrul Islam conducted the operation around 2:00 am at Zillu Majhir Beel (Ferater Ban) in Bouddhapur village. The location is approximately 2 kilometers inside Bangladesh territory from border pillar 229.
The BGB team recovered 7 Indian Tapentadol tablets (a controlled prescription opioid often misused as a narcotic), 9 packets of marijuana and One Hero motorcycle used for transport.
The estimated market value of the seized goods and the vehicle is BDT.1,02,850.
Three suspects managed to flee the scene during the raid. They have been identified as Babu (30), son of the late Mozammel Haque, Rubel (25), son of Abdul Mannan, Suman (22), son of Kader. All three individuals are residents of Bouddhapur village.
Naib Subedar Abu Taleb, Company Commander of 16 BGB Nitpur BOP, confirmed the incident. He stated that the seized items are being handed over to Porsha Police Station, and legal proceedings are underway.
