The nomination papers of five constituencies of Pabna in the 13th National Parliament election have been verified. This process was completed at the office of the District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner on Sunday (January 4).

The nomination papers of five candidates have been canceled after verification.

Those on the list of canceled candidates are: Independent candidates Khairun Nahar Miru and Haji Yunus Ali in Pabna-1 constituency. Ganadhikar Parishad candidate Hasanul Islam Raja in Pabna-3 constituency. Gano Forum candidate Sheikh Nasir Uddin in Pabna-2 constituency. Independent candidate Zakaria Pintu is in Pabna-4 constituency. However, no candidate's nomination has been canceled in Pabna-5 (Sadar) constituency.

District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Shahed Mustafa said that the canceled candidates will have the opportunity to appeal to the Election Commission.
