A youth named Aziar Rahman (35) was stabbed to death by an unknown miscreant in the Port Colony area under Bandar police station in Chattogram city. The incident took place at around 1:30 am on Saturday (January 10).

Aziar Rahman is the son of the deceased Hasen Ali of Alti Buruj Bariya area of Moralganj upazila of Bagerhat district.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Bandar police station Abu Bakkar said that miscreants stabbed Aziar Rahman at the spot for unknown reasons at around 1:30 am on Saturday. Later, Bandar police rescued him in a seriously injured condition and took him to Chattogram Medical College (CMC) Hospital at 2:20 am, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Legal action is underway in this incident. Multiple police teams led by OC Sir are working to identify and arrest those involved in the murder.
