Ministers Pledge Smooth Travel and Stricter Naval Checks

Road Transport, Shipping, and Railways Minister Sheikh Rabiul Alam has assured the public that all necessary measures are in place across road, rail, and water transport to ensure a safe journey for Eid-ul-Adha.

Speaking at the inauguration of Naval Safety Week-2026 at the Ladies Club on Eskaton Road this morning, the Minister emphasized that the progress of the maritime sector relies on the dedication and professionalism of officials at all levels.

During the same event, State Minister for Shipping Rajib Ahsan issued a firm directive to the Naval Police to crack down on unlicensed and unfit vessels. He noted that water transport accidents could be eliminated entirely if stakeholders prioritize awareness and responsibility.
