The sons of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, Kasim and Sulaiman Isa Khan, have raised a global alarm over their father's deteriorating condition in Adiala Jail.
In a recent interview, they described his environment as a "death cell," alleging that the PTI founder is being subjected to "psychological torture" through forced solitary confinement and a lack of human contact.
The brothers expressed grave fears that they may never see their father again, noting they have been barred from speaking to him for months.
These allegations are bolstered by statements from Khan’s sisters and a recent intervention by UN Special Rapporteur Alice Jill Edwards. The UN official warned that the "inhumane and undignified" conditions—including 23-hour daily confinement and constant camera surveillance—could amount to torture under international law.
Despite these outcries, the Pakistani government maintains that Khan, who has been imprisoned since August 2023 on various charges, is being held according to prison regulations.
