


Faridpur district police and local journalists convened on Thursday to address the region's most pressing law and order challenges with focusing heavily on drug abuse, robbery, theft and the rise of juvenile gangs. Superintendent of Police Shahriar Mohammad Miyaji presided over the view exchange meeting at the District Police conference room.
Journalists led by Faridpur Press Club President Kabirul Islam Siddiqui highlighted widespread public suffering and stressed the urgent need to strengthen night-time security across the city to curb theft and robberies.
Both parties agreed that improving the security environment requires coordinated, active efforts between law enforcement, the media and local residents.
Police administration officials committed to ensuring seamless public services with assuring attendees that they will work more sincerely to guarantee citizen security and prevent service deprivation.
Authorities announced a new joint initiative launching next month to resolve severe traffic congestion and transform Faridpur into a cleaner with more organized urban center also urging the media to play a cooperative role.
Additional Superintendents of Police Fatema Islam and Ajmir Hossain, Kotwali OC Mahmudul Hasan and Press Club General Secretary Mahbub Hossain Piyal were among the key attendees. The session concluded with a mutual agreement to increase information sharing between the press and police to better serve the public interest and alleviate community suffering.
