


Gold prices in Bangladesh have increased again within 24 hours. The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has raised the price of gold in the domestic market, setting the price of 22-carat gold at Tk 2,70,430 per bhori.
BAJUS announced the new price in a notification on Wednesday morning (March 11). The revised rates came into effect from 10:00 am the same day.
According to the notification, the price has been increased due to a rise in the cost of pure gold in the local market.
Under the new rates, 22-carat gold now costs Tk 2,70,430 per bhori (11.664 grams).
Prices for other categories are as follows:
21-carat gold: Tk 2,58,124 per bhori
18-carat gold: Tk 2,21,266 per bhori
Traditional method gold: Tk 1,80,617 per bhori
Earlier, on March 10, BAJUS also raised gold prices in the domestic market. At that time, the price of 22-carat gold was increased by Tk 3,266, setting the price at Tk 2,68,214 per bhori.
Under that previous adjustment:
21-carat gold: Tk 2,56,025 per bhori
18-carat gold: Tk 2,19,458 per bhori
Traditional method gold: Tk 1,79,159 per bhori
So far in 2026, gold prices in Bangladesh have been adjusted 40 times, with 26 increases and 14 decreases.
In 2025, gold prices were adjusted 93 times in the domestic market—64 increases and 29 decreases, according to BAJUS data.
