


The foundation stone of the JT Police Outpost Building under Port Police Station was laid on Wednesday (March 11) afternoon in Chattogram.
Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner Hasib Aziz inaugurated the construction of the new outpost building.
Speaking at the event, the police commissioner said the port area is highly important due to the constant movement of commercial activities and workers. Thousands of workers, traders and visitors pass through the area every day.
He noted that there has long been a need for a modern police outpost to maintain law and order and prevent crime in the busy port zone. The new building will help ensure public safety and allow police to provide faster and better services.
The commissioner added that CMP is working to strengthen public security by developing modern infrastructure and improving service delivery.
Among those present were Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Operations) Muhammad Faisal Ahmed and Deputy Police Commissioner (Estate and Development) Mohammad Abu Bakkar Siddique.
Deputy Police Commissioner of Ports Division Md. Amirul Islam, Deputy Police Commissioner of Traffic–Ports Division Kabir Ahmed, Deputy Police Commissioner of CSB Branch Md. Golam Ruhul Quddus, and Deputy Police Commissioner of Crime and Operations Branch Md. Raish Uddin, along with other senior CMP officials, also attended the event.
