


The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 3,266 per bhori in the local market. The new price has been set at Tk 2,64,948 per bhori and will take effect from 10:00 am on Monday, March 9, 2026.
BAJUS said the price adjustment was made due to a decline in the price of refined (acid) gold in the domestic market.
Under the revised rates:
21-carat gold: Tk 2,52,876 per bhori
18-carat gold: Tk 2,16,775 per bhori
Traditional gold: Tk 1,76,943 per bhori
Earlier, on March 4, 2026, BAJUS reduced the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 9,214, bringing it to Tk 2,68,214 per bhori.
So far this year, gold prices in the domestic market have been adjusted 38 times—with 24 increases and 14 decreases.
BAJUS has also revised silver prices. The price of 22-carat silver has been reduced by Tk 175 to Tk 6,357 per bhori.
The updated silver prices are:
21-carat silver: Tk 6,065 per bhori
18-carat silver: Tk 5,190 per bhori
Traditional silver: Tk 3,907 per bhori
According to BAJUS data, silver prices have been adjusted 23 times this year, with 14 increases and 9 decreases.
