


The Department of Livestock has launched the sale of meat and eggs at affordable prices in Narail for the holy month of Ramadan. The program began on Wednesday (March 11) at 10 am at the District Livestock Office premises.
Additional District Magistrate of Narail, Lincoln Biswas, inaugurated the initiative. District Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Rashedul Haque presided over the event, with District Fisheries Officer Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Additional Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension Narail Md. Zahidul Islam Biswas, Sadar Upazila Livestock Officer Debashish Kumar Kundu, and other officials in attendance.
According to the Department of Livestock, the sale will continue daily from 10 am to 12 noon, from March 11 to March 16, subject to stock availability.
Under this program, beef is priced at 650 taka per kg, dressed broiler chicken at 245 taka per kg, and chicken eggs at 8 taka each.
District Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Rashedul Haque said the initiative aims to help residents access essential animal-based food at affordable prices during Ramadan and will continue until the scheduled date.
