Due to the sudden change in weather, the incidence of various diseases in children is increasing. Especially, more children are being affected by colds, coughs, fever, diarrhea and respiratory problems. Doctors say that it is important for parents to be extra careful during this time of seasonal change.

With the change in season, the number of children's illnesses has increased. The crowd of children's patients in hospitals is increasing. When visiting Faridpur's only specialized children's hospital (Dr. Zahed Memorial Children's Hospital), a large number of children are seen. Parents are struggling with their beloved child. They have to wait for hours for the serial.

Md. Akkas Mondal, the administrative officer of this hospital, said that 250 to 300 patients are coming to the outdoor section every day compared to the normal time. After that, there is a shortage of seats in the hospital indoors every day. According to doctors, children's immunity weakens due to fluctuating weather conditions, dust and virus infections. As a result, they are easily affected by diseases like colds, pneumonia and diarrhea.

Dr. Zahed Memorial Children's Hospital Pediatrician Dr. Niranjan Kumar Das said, "Children are getting more colds, coughs and fevers during this time. In many cases, they are having difficulty breathing. Therefore, special attention should be paid to children's cleanliness and food."

Experts say that it is important for children to wear clothes that suit the weather, drink clean water and ensure nutritious food. They also advised to seek medical advice immediately if they develop symptoms of illness.

Several parents who came to this hospital said, "My child has been having fever and cough since the weather changed. That's why I brought him to the hospital."

They said that due to the large number of child patients, they have to wait for a long time for a doctor.

Faridpur Civil Surgeon-Dr. Mahmudul Hasan said that if awareness is increased, the risk of seasonal diseases can be reduced to a great extent. This doctor urged children to take extra care during this time of seasonal change. He also said that if awareness and prompt treatment are ensured, the risk of the disease can be reduced. He said that special instructions have been given to all hospitals in the district by the government. We have no shortage of doctors and medicines.

Experts say that there is no alternative for parents to be aware to keep their children healthy.
