The Meteorological Department has warned of gusty winds reaching up to 60 kmph in parts of the country, along with a chance of rain or thundershowers.

In a bulletin issued for inland river ports valid until 1 pm on Wednesday (April 8), the department said temporary gusty or stormy winds may sweep across the Jessore, Kushtia and Khulna regions.

Winds are expected to blow from the west or northwest at speeds between 45 and 60 kmph.

Due to this, river ports in these areas have been advised to display warning signal number 1 from 5 am to 1 pm.
