


Police in Naogaon's Porsha upazila arrested three suspected drug dealers in two separate raids on Wednesday, seizing smuggled Indian tapentadol tablets and marijuana.
Acting on the directives of Naogaon Superintendent of Police Mohammad Tariqul Islam, officers first raided a mango orchard in Bishnupur village on Wednesday afternoon. During the operation, police arrested Al Amin, 19, of Srikrishnapur, and Mehedi Hasan, 20, of Bishnapur. Officers recovered 25 tapentadol tablets and 45 grams of marijuana from their possession.
Later that evening, police conducted a second raid at the Kapalir More intersection, arresting 37-year-old Taslim while he was allegedly selling drugs. Police seized 60 tapentadol tablets from him. According to records, Taslim is a repeat offender with five pending drug-related cases.
Porsha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ziaur Rahman confirmed the arrests. "Cases have been filed against the three suspects under the Narcotics Control Act. They were sent to jail on Thursday, and our anti-drug operations will continue," he stated.
