Man Arrested with 55 Yaba Tablets in Lalmohan Accomplice Escapes

Police have arrested a 32-year-old man with 55 Yaba tablets during an anti-drug drive in Bhola's Lalmohan upazila while his accomplice managed to evade capture.

The arrestee Md. Hachnain Mamun, is a resident of Ward 3 under Charbhuta Union.

According to police sources a team led by Sub-Inspector Md. Asaduzzaman Khan conducted a raid in the Charbhuta area on Thursday night. During the operation officers apprehended Mamun with the contraband. However his associate 28-year-old Md. Mizan fled the scene upon sensing the police's presence.

Lalmohan Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Aliul Islam confirmed the incident, stating that a case under the Narcotics Control Act is being filed against both the arrested and the absconding suspect.

"Our operations against narcotics are ongoing, and no drug dealer will be spared. We are actively conducting raids to apprehend the escaped suspect," the OC added.
