Coast Guard Arrests Man with Marijuana in Bhola

The Coast Guard has arrested a suspected drug dealer with Marijuana in Bhola during a late-night operation.

The arrested man is Md. Sumon, 27, son of Nur Nabi Sikder from Ward No. 8 of East Ilisha in Bhola Sadar upazila.

According to Coast Guard South Zone Media Officer Lt. BN Md. Abul Kashem, the operation was carried out around 1:00 am on Thursday (March 19) in the Paranganj Bazar area near East Ilisha under Sadar Police Station.

Acting on a tip-off, Coast Guard members detained Sumon and seized about 1 kg of Marijuana, estimated to be worth Tk 40,000.

The seized drugs and the arrested man have been handed over to Bhola Sadar Police Station for further legal action.
