Seven gymnasts from Lama Upazila in Bandarban are representing Bangladesh at the 21st Junior and Senior Artistic Gymnastics Singapore Open Championships 2026. All seven athletes are students of Quantum Cosmo School and College, located in the remote Bodhichara area of Sarai Union.
The Bangladesh Gymnastics Federation officially confirmed their selection for the international tournament, which is taking place in Singapore from June 1 to 8.
The competing gymnasts are Uhai Mong Marma, Prenthai Mro, Mongching Pru Tripura, Menton Tony Mro, Utingwang Marma, Rajiv Chakma, and Wewe Sai Marma. Officials attribute the athletes' success to the school's rigorous training programs and highly disciplined sports environment.
"Our main goal is to produce international-standard gymnasts from the grassroots level," said Saleh Ahmed, in-charge of Quantum Education Services. "Seeing our students wear the national jersey on the international stage is a great source of pride. We are hopeful they will bring glory to the country."
