


Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested an alleged drug dealer with Indian Tapentadol tablets during a patrol operation at the Porsha border in Naogaon.
The arrested individual is Masud Rana, 17, son of Ayesh Uddin of Gopalganj Guch village under Nitpur Union in Porsha Upazila.
According to BGB, acting on a tip-off, a patrol team from Nitpur BOP conducted an operation on Wednesday afternoon at Kopalir More, about 1.5 kilometres inside Bangladesh from border pillar 230/52-R. During the operation, the team arrested Masud Rana from Rafiq's sweet shop and recovered 10 Indian Tapentadol tablets from his possession.
The operation was led by Patrol Commander Naib Subedar Amir Hossain. BGB said another suspected drug dealer, Taslim, 32, son of Monowar of Kopalir More, fled the scene.
A case has been filed under the Narcotics Control Act with Porsha Police Station. BGB officials confirmed that the seized tablets and the accused have been handed over to the police for further legal action.
