


Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a man with 20 packets of Indian Tapentadol tablets during an early morning raid in Porsha, Naogaon, on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from the Nitpur BOP (16 BGB Naogaon Battalion) conducted the operation at the Haripur Bazar intersection around 3:00 am. The location is approximately four kilometers inside the Bangladesh border.
The arrested individual was identified as Mamun (27), son of Matiur Rahman, from Batchahera village in Sapahar Upazila. Another suspect, identified as Hamidur (25) from Kalaibari village, managed to flee the scene during the raid.
Havildar Monirul Islam led the operation, which resulted in the recovery of the restricted Indian drugs. Naib Subedar Abu Taleb, company commander of Nitpur BOP, confirmed the arrest and stated that Mamun has been handed over to Porsha Police Station. A case has been filed under the Narcotics Control Act.
