Banned fishing nets burned and destroyed in Porsha

A drive was conducted in the Punarbhaba River in Porsha, Naogaon, and a banned fishing net was seized, burned and destroyed.

On Friday, from 4 pm to 5 pm, 10 fishing nets and 1 cotton net were seized in a drive in the Purnabhaba River, 150 yards from the border main pillar 231, the responsibility area of Nitpur BOP, in the Tektha area of Bangladesh.

In the implementation of the Fisheries Conservation Act 1950 and its related rules 1985, the local administration and BGB conducted a joint operation.

The Naogaon Battalion (16 BGB) authorities cooperated in this. The Fisheries Officer Shamim Reza led the operation. The fake bullets seized in the operation were destroyed by burning them in the football field in front of Nitpur BOP.
