Police in Porsha upazila of Naogaon have arrested four suspects in connection with two separate robbery cases. The arrests were made from different locations on Saturday, and the detainees have since been sent to jail.
One of the arrestees, Sohel Rana alias Sohel (35), son of Afsar Ali from Bongpur village in Gomostapur upazila of Chapainawabganj, is accused in a bus robbery case that took place on October 15 at Moshanatola on the Saraigachhi Adda road.
The other three Kamrul Islam alias Kamu (47) of Tegharia village, Mofazzal (43) of Jafarpur village, and Rubel (27), son of late Mofiz Mia from Hatiyapara village in Matiranga upazila of Khagrachhari were arrested for their alleged involvement in a robbery on October 16 at Bejoramore and Moshanatola along the same road.
Separate robbery cases have been filed against the arrestees at Porsha Police Station. The Officer-in-Charge of Porsha Police Station confirmed the arrests and legal action.
