Police have found the lifeless body of Sanajida (13), a 4th grade madrasa student, hanging in Momkunj, located in College Para of Ghatail Upazila in Tangail.
Sanajida was the eldest daughter of Maulana Abul Hossain. The tragic incident took place on the evening of November 4.
According to police reports, Maulana Abul Hossain, who serves as the Imam of the GBG Government College Mosque in the municipal area of the upazila, resided in a rented home owned by Zulfikari Haider in College Para Momkunj along with his wife and three daughters. His wife made a call to inform that their eldest daughter had taken her own life by hanging.
Following this, the police were notified, and the body was retrieved and transported to the Upazila Health Complex, where the attending physician pronounced her dead.
In relation to this incident, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Golam Muktar Ashraf Uddin of Ghatail Police Station stated that due to the absence of a complainant, a case of accidental death was registered, and the body was subsequently released to the family.
