The District Detective Branch (DB) police have arrested Jhalakathi Municipal Awami League Organizing Secretary Abdus Salam. He is the brother of former Municipal Awami League General Secretary and District Jubo League convener GS Zakir.

Sources said that he was arrested from the Nesarabad area of ​​the city on Wednesday, January 7. However, he has been arrested in a political case.

Abdus Salam has been active in Jhalakathi city politics for a long time, is the contractor of the Model Mosque at Jhalakathi College intersection and is a well-known face locally.
