


Winter blankets have been distributed among 75 orphaned students of Lakshmipasha Qawmi Madrasa and Markazul Orphanage in Lohagara Municipality, Narail.
These blankets were distributed on Tuesday (January 6) afternoon by Malaysian expatriate Raihan Thakur. Expatriate Raihan Thakur is the eldest son of the late singer Milu Thakur. These blankets were distributed to the students of the orphanage of the related madrasa with the help of journalists working in Lohagara Upazila.
Lohagara Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Municipal Administrator Sadia Sultana, Lohagara Government Pilot High School Principal SM Hayatuzzaman were present at the distribution ceremony.
Lohagara Press Club Convener Selim Jahangir, Member Secretary Shimul Hasan, Senior Journalists Rupok Mukherjee, Khairul Islam, Rezaul Karim, Sardar Rais Uddin Tipu, Kazi Imran and Rashed Rasu, Young Social Workers Sajjad Sikder, Anisur Rahman, Shariful Islam Lyon and others were present.
According to the organizing source, the blanket distribution program will continue among the helpless, distressed and orphaned students of the society in the severe winter.
