Like the rest of the country, new books have been distributed among the young students in Pabna district. There was no formality to the book festival this time due to the ongoing state mourning over the death of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

District Primary Education Officer Md. Ashraful Kabir said that 17,43,241 copies of books have been distributed among 3,72,753 students of 1,827 educational institutions in 9 upazilas of the district.

He said that these books were distributed in all government, private primary schools and kindergartens in the district. 3 books were handed over to each student from class one to class three and 6 books to each student in other classes.

This time there was no formality, it is known that these books were handed over to each student from each educational institution.
