The government plans to hire 10,219 assistant teachers for primary schools. According to a circular from the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) issued yesterday, permanent residents of all upazilas/thanas in the districts of Rangpur, Barishal, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Khulna, and Mymensingh divisions are eligible to apply for these positions.
The DPE announced the recruitment on Wednesday, 5 November.
The available positions fall under the 2015 pay scale, offering a salary range of Tk11,000 to Tk26,590 (Grade 13).
Applicants must be between 21 and 32 years old as of 30 November 2025.
Candidates should possess at least a second class or equivalent CGPA (minimum 2.25 on a 4-point scale or 2.8 on a 5-point scale) in a bachelor's or bachelor's (honours) degree from any recognized university.
The circular specifies that any third class or equivalent GPA/CGPA at any educational level will not be accepted.
Interested applicants are required to submit their applications online. The application period will commence on 8 November 2025 at 10:30 am and will conclude on 21 November 2025 at 11:59 pm.
