


The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) Chattogram Regional Office Deputy Director (Accounts and Finance) Md. Fazle Elahi and his wife Ferdousi Begum. Allegedly, they acquired and possessed assets worth Tk 20 lakh 79 thousand 70 in a manner inconsistent with their declared income.
The matter was confirmed by ACC Chattogram-1 Deputy Director Subel Ahmed. ACC Integrated District Office, Chattogram-2 Deputy Assistant Director Mohammad Abul Hasan filed the case as the plaintiff at the Chattogram-1 office. The case statement states that Ferdousi Begum's acquisition of assets is a punishable offense under the Anti-Corruption Commission Act.
In addition, Fazle Elahi, while in government service, assisted in acquiring and possessing assets in the name of his wife with money earned for dishonest purposes, which will be considered an offense under the Penal Code.
